The Centre of Excellence Certification

DEKA is a medical laser manufacturer based in Florence, Italy, with roots in laser physics stretching back more than four decades — a lineage that includes early work on carbon dioxide laser technology for surgical and dermatological use. Its platforms are used across dermatology, plastic surgery, gynaecology and ENT, as well as aesthetic medicine.

The DEKA Centre of Excellence programme certifies a small number of clinics internationally. The designation is granted on the basis of clinical standards, protocol development and innovation in patient care rather than on purchase volume, and it is reviewed rather than granted permanently on first issue. IN Eternity Clinic received the certification on 24 July 2026, presented jointly by DEKA and NeoAsia, DEKA's Asia-Pacific distributor. It recognises the clinic as a global authority on DEKA laser technology and energy-based body contouring — a reference centre whose protocols DEKA's own engineers travelled from Italy to study, rather than the other way around.

Dr Sin Yong — International Key Opinion Leader for DEKA

Medical Director Dr Sin Yong is a global authority on lasers, non-surgical facelifts and body contouring, holding International Key Opinion Leader appointments with six device manufacturers: DEKA, CLASSYS, HIRONIC, ALMA, FOTONA and LUTRONIC. At IN Eternity Clinic he performs and directs treatments personally, building each plan around the patient's specific concern for the optimal outcome. A Key Opinion Leader appointment is a working relationship rather than a sponsorship: the manufacturer's clinical and engineering teams consult the physician on how a platform behaves in real clinical conditions — on real skin types, at settings well outside the factory presets — and in return the physician trains other doctors on its use, usually at the chairside.

He trains doctors across the Asia-Pacific region and has presented at symposia in Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, Dubai and Singapore.

Tetra Pro — S3 Resurfacing & 4D Scar Reconstruction

The Tetra Pro CO2 platform underpins the clinic's scar and resurfacing work. Its S3 mode delivers a concentrated beam that reaches roughly three times deeper into the dermis than conventional fractional CO2 lasers or RF microneedling, allowing deep dermal restoration across deep, ice-pick and boxcar acne scars. TORO — Pigment, Brightening & Skin Quality

The TORO platform combines Q-switched and picosecond emissions used for pigment, brightening and overall skin texture, including delicate work in the periorbital region. Settings are matched to skin type rather than run from presets.

RedTouch Pro & Onda Pro

RedTouch Pro is a long-pulsed platform used for skin firming and tone, while Onda Pro applies microwave-band energy for localised fat and skin laxity — extending the clinic's DEKA-based work beyond the skin surface into body contouring.

Why the Settings Matter More Than the Machine

A Centre of Excellence designation is not about owning particular equipment.
