Double Chin: Fat or Loose Skin?
Most double chins are two problems at once. Treating only one of them is the usual reason results disappoint.

Why combinations work better than one treatment
A double chin that is fat and laxity needs both the fat reduced and the skin tightened, or the result is a smaller pocket in the same loose envelope. The LCLR protocol does both in one session: the lipo-modelling pass disrupts the mapped fat, the lifting pass contracts and remodels the skin above it. Bands, if present, are relaxed separately. The timing is sequenced so that each step is assessed before the next.
What laser lipo-modelling does not do: remove a large volume of fat in one go (liposuction does), tighten advanced laxity with a lot of excess skin (surgery does), or change the skeleton (a chin implant or filler does). Dr Sin Yong says at the assessment which of these applies.
What affects the cost

Can you actually remove a double chin without surgery?
For mild to moderate fullness, yes: fat is reduced with laser lipo-modelling, skin is tightened in the same pass, and bands are relaxed with injections. Large fat volumes or advanced laxity do better with liposuction or a surgical neck lift.
What is the cheapest way to get rid of a double chin?
If the cause is weight or posture, weight management and posture change cost nothing. For fat or laxity, a single-cause treatment is cheaper per session but may need more sessions; the plan is matched to the dominant cause at assessment, and costs are explained there.
How do Koreans get rid of a double chin?
The approaches used in Korean clinics are the same categories used here: injection lipolysis or laser for fat, HIFU or thread lifts for laxity, muscle relaxant for bands, and liposuction for larger volumes. The choice follows the cause, not the country.
Does a double chin go away with weight loss?
If fat is the main cause, weight loss reduces it. Loose skin and platysma bands do not improve with weight loss and can look more obvious afterwards; those are treated with lifting and muscle relaxant.
