In short · Doctor’s answer

The cost of treating vaginal atrophy in Singapore depends on which option suits you, and the options are priced on different things: over-the-counter moisturisers and lubricants are bought per tube; vaginal oestrogen is a prescription medicine priced per pack after a consultation; pelvic floor physiotherapy is priced per session; and vaginal laser is priced per session or as a course of three. IN Eternity Clinic confirms its fees at the consultation rather than listing them online, in line with Singapore Medical Council guidance. The consultation fee is S$120, waived with any medical treatment.

What moves the price

What each option is priced on

How Singapore clinics and pharmacies usually structure each option.
OptionUsually priced onWhat changes the figure
Vaginal moisturiser and lubricantPer tube or pack, over the counterBrand, pack size, whether a pharmacy or clinic supplies it
Low-dose vaginal oestrogenPer pack, prescription only, after a consultationForm (cream, pessary or ring), brand, supply length; the ring lasts about three months
Pelvic floor physiotherapyPer sessionNumber of sessions; whether a specialist physiotherapist is needed
Vaginal laser (fractional CO2, such as G Lift)Per session, or a course of threeDevice, whether a doctor performs it, numbing, review visits; some clinics add a maintenance session
Gynaecology referralSpecialist consultation feePublic or private; whether investigations are needed

Two things are easy to miss. First, the consultation itself: a doctor should examine you before any of these is chosen, because infection, skin conditions and bleeding after menopause need different care. Second, the ongoing cost: moisturisers and vaginal oestrogen are continued at a maintenance dose, so a small recurring cost is normal, while laser is usually quoted as a course with a review.

Before you pay

Questions to ask before paying for a course

  • Has the doctor examined me and confirmed atrophy rather than another cause?
  • Was a moisturiser, a lubricant and, where suitable, vaginal oestrogen discussed first?
  • If laser is proposed, why, and what does the clinic say about the evidence, which is mixed?
  • Who performs the treatment, and what is included in the quoted figure: numbing, review visits, maintenance?
  • Is there any pressure to pay for a package today? The Singapore Medical Council guidelines discourage sales tactics and incentives in aesthetic practice.

At IN Eternity Clinic, Dr Sin Yong, who holds the Professional Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RCPI), examines first and gives a written, itemised quote after assessment. Laser is proposed only where it fits, alongside the medical options. There are no prepaid packages or time-limited deals.

Questions

Cost questions

How much does vaginal atrophy treatment cost in Singapore?

It depends on the option: over-the-counter moisturisers cost a few tens of dollars per tube, vaginal oestrogen is priced per pack after a prescription, physiotherapy per session, and laser per session or course. Clinic fees are confirmed at the consultation rather than listed online. The consultation fee at IN Eternity Clinic is S$120, waived with any medical treatment.

Is vaginal oestrogen expensive?

Low-dose vaginal oestrogen is a relatively low-cost prescription medicine, used at a small maintenance dose after the first two weeks, so a pack lasts some time. The main cost is the consultation and examination that precede it. The exact figure depends on the preparation and brand chosen.

Is laser cheaper than ongoing oestrogen?

Not usually. Laser is quoted per session or as a course of three with a review, and some women repeat it yearly; vaginal oestrogen is a small recurring cost. Laser is considered after assessment for women who cannot or prefer not to use oestrogen, not as a cheaper substitute, and its evidence is mixed.

Does insurance or MediSave cover vaginal atrophy treatment?

Consultations and prescription treatment for a medical condition may be claimable under some private plans; aesthetic or elective laser treatment usually is not. Check with your insurer before treatment. MediSave does not cover outpatient aesthetic procedures.

Why do clinics quote such different prices for vaginal laser?

Device, number of sessions, who performs it, what is included (numbing, reviews, maintenance) and the clinic’s overheads all differ. A low headline figure may exclude the review or the third session. Ask for the full course cost in writing and what happens if symptoms do not improve.
