Visiting Singapore for Aesthetic Treatment

Plan the trip around healing, not the other way round.

Many patients at IN Eternity Clinic on Orchard Road live overseas. Dr Sin Yong plans their treatment so that the parts needing review happen while they are still in Singapore.

If you are visiting Singapore for aesthetic treatment, book ahead and start with a WhatsApp video pre-consultation so Dr Sin Yong can understand your concern before you arrive. Treatment is decided after an in-person examination. Schedule procedures early in your stay, leave time for review before you fly, and take written aftercare home.

Before you travel

How should I book if I live overseas?

Send a WhatsApp message to +65 8815 3008 with your concern, your travel dates and your time zone. The clinic can arrange a video pre-consultation with Dr Sin Yong, who will ask about your history, previous treatments and goals, and tell you which options are worth discussing in person and how long they are likely to take.

Bring, or send ahead, a list of your medicines and allergies and any records of past treatments, especially fillers or threads. If you have had treatment elsewhere recently, note the product and the date if you know them.

On arrival

What happens when I arrive in Singapore?

The first in-person visit is a consultation and examination, which usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. Some findings — skin type, laxity, old filler, the nature of a pigment or growth — can only be judged in person, so the plan may differ from what was discussed on video. Prescription medicines and injectables are given only after examination and consent.

If a treatment suits you and your schedule allows, it may be possible to start the same day or later in the week. You will receive a written plan and fees, and you are never expected to decide on the spot.

“When someone is flying in, I plan backwards from the departure date. Anything that needs checking gets checked before the flight, not by message afterwards.”
— Dr Sin Yong, Medical Director, IN Eternity Clinic
Timing

How do I time treatments around flights?

Early in your stay. Treatments with visible healing, such as CO2 resurfacing, RF microneedling or larger injectable plans, are ideally done in the first days of a trip so that swelling, scabbing or bruising can be checked before you leave.

Before a flight. Swelling and bruising can be more noticeable after a long flight, and cabin air is dry. Dr Sin Yong will suggest how many days to leave between a given treatment and flying; for many injectables and resurfacing procedures this is a few days rather than hours. Very low-downtime treatments, such as a Hydrafacial or laser toning, are easier to fit close to a departure.

Courses. Treatments that need a series of sessions weeks apart can be planned around repeat visits, or started in Singapore with a clear explanation of what can and cannot be continued at home.

After you fly home

How does aftercare work once I am home?

You take home written aftercare for each treatment. Sun protection matters after laser in any climate, and especially if home is sunny. If you have questions or want reassurance about healing, send photos to the clinic on WhatsApp in daylight; Dr Sin Yong reviews them and advises.

Anything urgent — severe pain, skin colour change or vision change after an injectable, or signs of infection — needs a local doctor or emergency department straight away, then a message to the clinic. Taking a copy of your treatment record home makes that easier. See also aftercare and treatment in Singapore or abroad.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I have a consultation before I travel?

Yes. A WhatsApp video pre-consultation with Dr Sin Yong can be arranged on +65 8815 3008. It helps plan your visit, though final decisions about treatment are made after an in-person examination at the clinic. Message the clinic with your travel dates so a provisional in-person appointment can be held for you.

Can I get treatment on the day I arrive?

Sometimes, if your schedule allows and the treatment suits you after examination. The first visit is a consultation of 45 to 60 minutes. Injectables and lasers are given only after assessment and consent. If time is short, mention it when booking so the consultation can be scheduled early in your stay.

How long should I wait after treatment before flying?

It depends on the treatment. Low-downtime facials and laser toning fit easily before a flight. For injectables and resurfacing, Dr Sin Yong usually suggests leaving a few days so swelling or bruising can be reviewed. You will be given specific advice for your plan.

What if I have a problem after I get home?

Send daylight photos to the clinic by WhatsApp and Dr Sin Yong will advise. Anything urgent, such as severe pain, colour change of the skin or vision change after an injectable, needs a local doctor or emergency department immediately. Taking a copy of your treatment record home helps any doctor who sees you.

Can I continue a course of treatment at home?

Some courses can be continued elsewhere and some cannot. Dr Sin Yong will explain what was done, the settings or products used where relevant, and what a doctor at home would need to know. A copy of your record can be provided.

How much does treatment cost for overseas visitors?

Fees are the same whether you live in Singapore or overseas, and depend on the treatment, the area, the number of sessions and what is found on examination. They are explained in writing after the consultation, before anything is booked.
