Men's Aesthetic Treatment: What Men Ask About

Look rested, not treated.

Men tend to come in with a short list: jaw, hair, scars, razor bumps, pigment and tired eyes. Dr Sin Yong at IN Eternity Clinic on Orchard Road plans for male anatomy and a result that does not look like treatment.

Men's aesthetic treatment in Singapore most often covers hair loss, acne scars, razor bumps, pigmentation, eye bags and jawline definition. Male skin is thicker and oilier, facial muscles are stronger and beard hair changes how lasers and needles are used, so doses and settings are adjusted. The aim is a natural, rested look that keeps a masculine shape.

Key facts
  • Skin: male skin is thicker and oilier with more collagen, which changes laser and needling settings and how marks heal.
  • Shape: a masculine face keeps a defined jaw angle and flatter cheeks; filler placement and lifting avoid softening it.
  • Muscle: stronger frown and jaw muscles mean anti-wrinkle doses and jaw slimming plans are set individually.
  • Beard: laser near the beard is planned so hair is not reduced where you want to keep it; hair removal is used deliberately for razor bumps.
  • Hair: pattern hair loss is easier to treat early, while follicles are still present.
  • Assessed by: Medical Director Dr Sin Yong, with doses and settings chosen for male anatomy and a natural result.

Hair

Hair loss and a receding hairline

Pattern hair loss affects many men from their twenties onwards. Male hair loss treatment explains how the hormonal driver is treated with prescription medicines after review, with H2LT laser and Regenera Activa for follicles that are still present. The hair and scalp hub covers every option.

Jaw

Jawline, jaw width and double chin

A wide jaw from clenching responds to jaw slimming injections, while a weak chin or soft jawline can be strengthened with chin filler placed to keep a masculine angle. Fullness under the chin is covered in double chin treatment, and the face-shape hub explains how each cause is told apart.

“Most men want one thing from me: that nobody can tell. Keeping the jaw angle, the brow and the expression is the plan.”

Razor bumps, acne scars and pigmentation

Ingrown hairs and razor bumps are common on the neck and beard line, especially with curly or coarse hair. Changing shaving technique helps; laser hair removal on the Lutronic Clarity II reduces the hairs that curl back into the skin, and dark marks are treated once the bumps settle.

Men often have deeper, more fibrous acne scars. Acne scar treatment combines subcision, RF microneedling and fractional CO2, matched to scar type. For sun spots and uneven tone from outdoor sport, see the pigmentation hub; back acne has its own page.

Eyes and lines

Tired eyes, eye bags and forehead lines

Under-eye bags can be fat, a hollow, fluid or loose skin. Eye bag treatment explains how each is told apart, and tear trough treatment covers hollows. The eye-area hub lists every eye concern.

Anti-wrinkle injections for men are dosed for stronger muscles and placed to keep a flatter, lower brow. Heavy underarm sweating can be treated with the same medicine.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do men need different treatment from women?

Often, yes. Men usually have thicker, oilier skin, stronger facial muscles, a richer blood supply to the face and a beard. That changes anti-wrinkle doses, filler placement, laser settings and how bruising is managed. The aesthetic goal differs too: keeping a defined jaw, flatter cheeks and a lower brow rather than softening the face.

Which concerns do men usually come in for?

Common reasons include thinning hair or a receding hairline, acne scars, a wide jaw or weak chin, pigmentation from outdoor sport, razor bumps and tired-looking eyes. Many men arrive with one clear question. Dr Sin Yong explains what is likely to help, what will not, and whether anything needs doing at all.

Will people be able to tell I have had treatment?

The aim is that they cannot. Doses and amounts are kept conservative, masculine features are preserved, and most treatments have little visible downtime for most people. Some, such as acne scar laser or jaw injections, need planning around work or events because of redness, swelling or gradual change. You will know what to expect before booking.

Can laser hair removal help razor bumps?

Reducing the hairs that curl back into the skin removes the main cause, so laser hair removal often helps razor bumps on the neck and beard line. It is given as a course, with settings chosen for your skin type; 1064 nm is often used for darker skin. You decide how much of the beard area to treat.

Is acne scar treatment different for men?

The principles are the same, but men's scars are often deeper and more fibrous, and beard hair affects how some treatments are delivered. Plans usually combine subcision for tethered scars with RF microneedling or fractional CO2 for texture. More sessions may be needed, and downtime is planned around work commitments.

How much do men's aesthetic treatments cost?

Cost depends on the concern, the treatment, the amount of product or number of sessions, and maintenance. Men sometimes need larger doses of anti-wrinkle medicine because of stronger muscles. A written quote is given after assessment, and you are under no pressure to book on the day.
