In June 2024, Dr Sin Yong travelled to Dubai as an ilooda International Key Opinion Leader to conduct a multi-clinic hands-on training programme — sharing his clinical protocols for Secret Duo RF Microneedling, Erbium Glass Laser, and the 4K Body Lift with aesthetic physicians across the UAE.

Unlike lecture-based symposia, the ilooda International KOL Training in Dubai was a clinic-to-clinic, hands-on programme — designed to transfer Dr Sin Yong’s clinical protocols directly to local physicians through live device operation, patient demonstrations, and protocol discussion. Across multiple clinic visits over the training period, Dr Sin Yong worked directly with attending physicians at their own facilities, adapting his protocols to the local patient population and clinical environment.
The Middle East represents one of the fastest-growing markets for energy-based aesthetic medicine, with a patient population characterised by Skin Types 3–5, significant demand for skin brightening and rejuvenation, and growing interest in non-surgical body contouring. The Dubai training programme was tailored to address these specific clinical priorities through the ilooda Secret Duo platform.
“Hands-on training in the clinic setting is where real knowledge transfer happens. You cannot fully convey needle depth selection, tip pressure, or the tactile feedback of RF Microneedling through a lecture alone. Being in the room with the device, with a patient on the table, is the only way to truly pass on a clinical protocol.”

One of the clinical visits during the Dubai training was to Novomed Clinic, a leading multi-speciality medical group in the UAE. The visit combined formal protocol handover with a knowledge exchange session, giving the local clinical team direct access to Dr Sin Yong’s approach to treatment planning, patient selection, and outcome optimisation using the ilooda Secret Duo.
The Novomed visit also reflected the broader purpose of the ilooda International KOL Training model — not simply to demonstrate what a device can do, but to equip clinic teams with the clinical reasoning behind each protocol step, so that outcomes can be replicated consistently across their patient base.

The centrepiece of the Dubai training was a series of live Secret Duo RF Microneedling sessions — with Dr Sin Yong performing or supervising the treatment on patients while the attending clinic teams observed, asked questions, and practised under direct supervision. This format mirrors the approach Dr Sin Yong takes as a trainer in MINT Facelift, Liquid True Lift, and Botulinum Dysport — prioritising direct clinical transfer over passive instruction.
Across the Dubai training sessions, Dr Sin Yong covered his full Secret Duo RF Microneedling protocol, including:
“The Middle Eastern patient population has distinct needs — darker skin types, a high prevalence of melasma, and significant patient demand for skin brightening and body sculpting. The Secret Duo is particularly well-suited to this market because the RF Microneedling component is colour-blind: needle-delivered energy bypasses the epidermis, making it safe and effective for Skin Types 3 to 5 where surface laser treatment would carry significantly higher risk.”

The training also extended to a second Dubai clinic where a group of attending physicians were brought together for a combined didactic-and-practical session. Dr Sin Yong covered the clinical evidence base for the ilooda Secret Duo, walked through his treatment protocols and patient selection criteria, and fielded questions from the assembled clinical team before moving to the live demonstration component.
This multi-clinic format — reaching different physician teams across different practice environments — reflects ilooda’s approach to KOL education: rather than concentrating training in a single venue, the programme brings expert-level clinical knowledge directly into the clinical environment where it will be practised.
A key component of the Dubai training was the presentation of the 4K Body Lift protocol to the Middle Eastern physician community. The 4K Body Lift — Dr Sin Yong’s proprietary focused RF body contouring protocol — uses the ilooda Secret Duo’s RF capabilities to deliver concentrated energy to point zones of compact, resistant subcutaneous fat. With 15–20% fat reduction per session and permanent results achieved in 1–3 sessions, the protocol offers liposuction-level sculpting outcomes without anaesthesia, incisions, or downtime.
In the Dubai context, where demand for body contouring is high and patient expectations for non-surgical results are particularly elevated, the 4K Body Lift protocol was received with strong clinical interest. Dr Sin Yong walked the attending physicians through his zone-specific application approach, energy calibration, and the patient communication framework that sets realistic expectations and ensures outcome satisfaction.
The Dubai 2024 training programme was part of ilooda’s broader international KOL education initiative — bringing its most trusted clinical experts directly to physician communities across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Dr Sin Yong’s role as an ilooda International KOL and certified Secret Duo trainer positions him at the centre of this global knowledge-transfer effort, carrying protocols developed and refined at IN Eternity Clinic on Orchard Road in Singapore to clinical communities around the world.
His selection for the Dubai training reflects the confidence ilooda places in both the clinical outcomes he achieves with their platforms and his ability to communicate complex protocol nuance in a way that translates directly into clinical practice for attending physicians.
“Every time I take a protocol internationally — whether to Seoul, Dubai, or beyond — it sharpens my own thinking. Physicians in different markets ask different questions, encounter different patient presentations, and have different clinical environments. That exchange makes the protocol stronger, and ultimately benefits my own patients back in Singapore.”
