Before You Arrive
No preparation is strictly required for most consultations. Bringing photographs — both of your current appearance and images representing the outcome you're hoping for — can be helpful. If you've had previous aesthetic treatments, noting what was done, when, and where helps Dr. Sin Yong understand your baseline.
IN Eternity Clinic is appointment-only — you will not wait in a shared waiting area with other patients during treatment times.
The Consultation Itself
Dr. Sin Yong will begin by asking about your primary concern — what bothers you, how long it has been present, and what you have tried previously. He will then examine the relevant area and explain what he observes clinically.
Following assessment, he will outline the treatment options appropriate for your anatomy and goals, explaining how each option works, what to expect, and the realistic range of improvement.
On Pricing and Pressure
Treatment costs will be discussed at the consultation, after the assessment and recommendation. There is no obligation to proceed with any treatment on the same day.
If you proceed with a treatment on the same visit, the $120 consultation fee is waived. Dr. Sin Yong will sometimes recommend against a treatment you've requested if he does not believe it is appropriate for your anatomy — this is a feature, not a limitation.
After the Consultation
If you proceed with treatment, Dr. Sin Yong will explain the immediate aftercare in detail before you leave. If you have questions in the days following treatment, the clinic is reachable via WhatsApp during business hours.
Take your time, ask every question you have, and do not feel any pressure to decide immediately.
How to Prepare Mentally for Your First Aesthetic Consultation
Many patients arrive at their first aesthetic consultation with a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty — unsure of what to ask, concerned about being sold to, or uncertain whether their concerns are significant enough to warrant professional attention. All of these feelings are entirely normal, and understanding what to expect can make the experience significantly more comfortable.
The most useful thing you can bring to the consultation is clarity about your primary concern. Not a list of 12 things you'd like to change, but the one or two things that genuinely bother you when you look in the mirror. Starting from your primary concern allows Dr. Sin Yong to assess it properly and explain — clinically and honestly — what is causing it and what can realistically be done about it.
If you have photographs from a few years ago that show the change you've noticed, bringing them can be valuable. They provide a reference point for the baseline you are comparing to and help clarify whether the change is primarily about tissue descent, volume change, skin quality, or a combination.
After Your Consultation: Making Your Decision
There is no expectation at IN Eternity that you will make a treatment decision on the day of your consultation. The $120 consultation fee covers a thorough clinical assessment and honest recommendation — what you do with that recommendation is entirely your choice, at whatever pace feels right to you.
Some patients proceed with treatment on the same visit, in which case the consultation fee is waived. Others prefer to go home, review the information, research further, and return on another day. Both approaches are entirely acceptable. Dr. Sin Yong can also provide written notes summarising the assessment and recommendation if this is helpful for your decision-making.
The consultation fee exists to ensure the assessment is thorough, not transactional. What you receive is honest clinical judgement — not a sales presentation.
