Key facts

- **Laser hair removal:** Lutronic Clarity II, with a 755 nm Alexandrite and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser chosen to match skin type; the longer wavelength suits darker skin.
- **Hair restoration:** the H2LT low-level laser and Regenera Activa micrografting, planned after a scalp examination and blood tests identify why hair is thinning.
- **Skin quality devices:** Hydrafacial, LDM dual-frequency ultrasound, the FSX laser (thulium and erbium glass), the 675 nm laser and RF microneedling.
- **Long-term reduction:** laser hair removal gives long-term reduction over a course of sessions; some people need occasional maintenance.
- **Who assesses:** Medical Director Dr Sin Yong, IN Eternity Clinic, 9 Scotts Road, #12-01 Pacific Plaza, Orchard.

How to choose

## How do you choose a hair or skin quality treatment?

Start with the cause: hair loss has several causes that need different care, and skin quality treatments are matched to skin type and concern.

| What you notice | Usually considered | Read first |
|---|---|---|
| Thinning on the crown or a widening parting | Cause found first: scalp check and blood tests, then medical care, laser or micrografting | [hair loss treatment in Singapore](https://ineternityclinic.com/hair-loss-treatment-singapore/) |
| A hairline moving back at the temples | Staging, then treatment to slow or reverse thinning | [receding hairline treatment](https://ineternityclinic.com/blog/receding-hairline-treatment-singapore/) |
| Heavy shedding months after giving birth | Usually settles; checks if it does not | [postpartum hair loss](https://ineternityclinic.com/blog/postpartum-hair-loss-singapore/) |
| Unwanted hair on the face or body | Laser hair removal with the wavelength matched to skin type | [laser hair removal in Singapore](https://ineternityclinic.com/laser-hair-removal-singapore/) |
| Bumps after shaving the beard or bikini line | Shaving changes, topical care and laser | [ingrown hair and razor bumps treatment](https://ineternityclinic.com/ingrown-hair-razor-bumps/) |
| Dull, dehydrated or congested skin | Hydrafacial, medical facials or skin boosters | [facial treatment in Singapore](https://ineternityclinic.com/medical-facials-singapore/) |
| Enlarged pores and oiliness | FSX laser, RF microneedling or peels, by cause | [enlarged pores treatment](https://ineternityclinic.com/enlarged-pores-treatment-singapore/) |
| Flushing, persistent redness or visible veins | Medical care with 675 nm laser where it fits | [rosacea treatment in Singapore](https://ineternityclinic.com/rosacea-treatment-singapore/) |

*How to choose a hair or skin quality page. A starting point only: the cause is confirmed in person, and plans often combine treatments.*

Hair loss treatment is planned around the type of hair loss, which is why a scalp examination and blood tests usually come before any procedure. Skin quality treatments are planned around Singapore’s humidity and skin types III to V, where gentle settings and spacing lower the risk of darkening. Results vary between people.

Questions

## Frequently asked questions

**Where should I start if my hair is thinning?**

Start with the cause. Pattern hair loss, shedding after illness or birth, and scalp conditions need different care, so a scalp examination and blood tests usually come first. [Hair loss treatment in Singapore](https://ineternityclinic.com/hair-loss-treatment-singapore/) explains the checks and the options, from medical care to the H2LT laser and Regenera Activa.

**How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?**

A course is needed because hair grows in cycles and only actively growing hairs respond. The number varies with the area, hair colour, skin type and hormones; facial areas are often treated about every four to six weeks. Laser hair removal gives long-term reduction, and some people need occasional maintenance.

**Is laser hair removal suitable for darker skin?**

Yes, with the right wavelength and settings. The longer 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength suits pigmented skin, and the Clarity II used at the clinic also has a 755 nm Alexandrite for lighter skin. A fresh tan is a reason to wait, and settings are chosen at assessment.

**What is the difference between Hydrafacial, a medical facial and a skin booster?**

Hydrafacial cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates the surface; a doctor-led medical facial is matched to the skin’s condition; a skin booster places product in the dermis to improve quality over weeks. [Hydrafacial vs medical facial vs skin booster](https://ineternityclinic.com/blog/hydrafacial-vs-skin-booster/) compares them.

**What helps enlarged pores?**

Pore size is largely set by genes and oil, so the aim is to make pores less visible. Depending on the cause, that may mean controlling oil, treating laxity or remodelling scarring with the FSX laser, RF microneedling or peels. [Enlarged pores treatment](https://ineternityclinic.com/enlarged-pores-treatment-singapore/) explains each route.

**Microneedling, RF microneedling or the FSX laser: which suits texture?**

Microneedling is the gentlest; RF microneedling adds heat at depth for scars and pores; the FSX laser treats texture, pores, redness and tone with fewer visible crusts than ablative resurfacing. The choice depends on the concern and your skin type, and is made at assessment.
